As I write this we are anchored in the lagoon at North Minerva Reef, a popular stopping off
point for vessels transiting between NZ and Fiji and/or Tonga (or vice versa).

Minerva Reef has seen more than its share of ship wrecks.
One book I would recommend is “Minerva Reef” by Olaf Ruhen. It relates the story of the crew of the vessel Tuikaepau who were wrecked on this reef in 1962. It is a great story and a good read.
